JV Coaching Staff

Ross Halpern, JV Head Coach
Coach Halpern is in his 5th year with the Shenendehowa Softball program as JV Head Coach. He graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 2010 before pursuing and completing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Education (K-12) at SUNY Cortland (2015). Coach Halpern is in his 6th year teaching Physical Education at Tesago Elementary school and has been the Varsity Assistant Coach for the Boys Varsity Volleyball team for 7 seasons.
Outside of Shen, Coach Halpern is in his 8th season as a Head Coach with the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Gators Summer Baseball Academy, and his 7th season of being a coach / administrator for the Clifton Park based Capital Sliders Boys Volleyball Club. Coach Halpern is married to wife Emily Halpern and they reside in Ballston Lake, NY.

Mike Cuttita, Assistant JV Coach
Mike Cuttita enters his third season as the Junior Varsity Assistant Coach. Coach Cuttita attended Shenendehowa High School and graduated in 2012. He played in the Shenendehowa baseball program for five years and was a two year starter on the Varsity team as a catcher. Coach Cuttita attended the College at Brockport State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a Minor in Coaching. At Brockport, Coach spent three semesters working in the Sports Information department where he worked with others to do game management tasks. These tasks included, field prep, game recording/streaming, statistics, and game clock management.
Coach Cuttita was an assistant coach on the 14U Miss Shen Cyclone Softball team that was runner up in the State tournament. He just recently finished an internship at Shenendehowa High School working in the Athletic Department as an assistant to the Athletic Director.
